Thrifty's Smile Card

Thrifty's Smile cards donate 5% of grocery sales to Rebels program...

Here is an easy way to raise money for the Victoria Rebels Junior Football Club. The Victoria Rebels have been accepted into the Thrifty Foods Smile Card Program. When using this card to pay for groceries at any Thrifty Foods store, 5% of all card purchases will be reimbursed to the Victoria Rebels Football Club.

Please read these important Smile Card guidelines for information on how the program works:

  • They're easy to use, just pre-load your card prior to purchasing your groceries at any Thrifty Foods' Customer Service Desk or cashier using debit card, credit card or cash. Please Note: If loading via a cashier, the card load must be done prior to having the grocery order rung in – the load and checking the grocery order are two separate transactions.

  • Lost or stolen cards should be reported to Customer Service (250-544-1234 or 1-800-667-8280) or a Thrifty Foods store immediately. Once reported, existing funds on the card will be locked. To replace your card, contact our Rebels Administrator, Alice Frederick, to have your card replaced as obtaining one directly from Thriftys will not credit the Rebels program.

  • If your card becomes demagnetized (i.e. “swipe errors”) again, contact our Rebels Administrator, Alice Frederick for a replacement card. Your card will work, although cashiers will need to type in the card number. This is a short-term solution only – the card should be replaced as soon as possible. Balances from demagnetized cards can be transferred to the new card at the customer service desk of any Thrifty Foods store.

  • You can also check your card balance anytime by visiting www.thriftyfoods.com (Our Services, Smile Cards, Check my Smile Card). Balances are also displayed on grocery receipts.

If you wish to participate please contact Alice Frederick
